Intimate Rainy-Day Wedding | Girdwood, Alaska

Weddings

Hannah & Steven’s wild & intimate rainy-day wedding in Girdwood, Alaska.

The day started out quiet with the sounds of raindrops tapping on the windows and laughter echoing in every room as everyone began getting ready for the big day ahead.

Hannah, joined by her sister, mom, and grandmother, donned herself in her lace dress and simple jewelry to prepare to see Steven for the first time that day.

During their first look, they read private letters to each other and lots of tears were shed. After taking a moment to embrace, we took a walk back up to the balcony together. Butterflies in full flight – they prepared to say their vows to one another.

The ceremony was so beautiful and was clothed in nostalgia and promises spoken long ago. Hannah & Steven’s friendship is so evident in their relationship and their families acted as old friends.

The rest of the day was filled with much joy, laughter, and prayer. The rain didn’t bother them one bit. Any hiccups in the day were brushed off as they gracefully moved on to each event.

I don’t think I’ve ever felt so much love and celebration in a room before.

Hannah & Steven’s beautiful, intimate rainy-day wedding day was more than memorable.

Capturing their love and union was such an honor, and I’m thankful to now call them friends.

I hope you enjoy seeing glimpses of this day as much as I did. This is one of my favorite weddings to date and I am so excited to share it with you all!
