I was born and spent most of my childhood in a small town named Sitka on an island in southeast Alaska. My backyard was full of spruce trees and totem poles. I played around bonfires on the beach and sprinted around the docks when fisherman would pull in their catch for the day. I remember swimming in ocean water in the summer until my lips turned blue and picking berries with my friends until we couldn’t eat anymore. I’ve caught salmon with my bare hands and have had some close encounters with a few moose from time to time.
Now based in Eagle River, I have always felt very connected to nature and feel the most at-home in it. I truly believe with all my heart that Alaska is the most beautiful place in the world. We have glaciers, tundra, rainforests, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, great lakes, and the most stunning wildlife you’ve ever seen. Alaska offers all the beauty of the world in one place, and is the perfect backdrop for a love story.
My favorite places to be are at home snuggling with my sweet baby boy, in the mountains grandma-trail-hiking, and following the open road with my husband to find the best coffee in Alaska. I enjoy hearing people's stories and seek to know the world through eyes that aren't just my own. My desire is to see all that this beautiful world has to offer while bringing what significance I can to it.
