Kirsten & Kevin’s seaside forest wedding was one of the most stunning weddings I have ever had the honor of capturing. With every small detail given so much care and attention, this beautifully moody day was full of love, laughter, and celebration. You can see Kevin & Kirsten’s personal style and attention to detail sprinkled throughout every moment of the day.
The day began with each of the lovely couple getting ready at separate cabins with their best friends and family. Rain sprinkled throughout the day and gave it a cool, mystical vibe. Despite the occasional downpours and misty fog, they were able to hold their ceremony outside in the seaside forest. A few tents stood nearby to host the reception and shield us from the rainy weather. Everyone danced and swayed along to the live music long until after the late-July sun set (which, in the land of the Midnight Sun, is well into the night!) where everyone gathered for snuggles and s’mores around the beach bonfires.
The next day, beautiful sunshine shone so brightly on the beach! With this stunning weather Kirsten, Kevin, and I trekked to the seaside forest and beach for a day-after couples session. I always recommend these to couples with large, eventful weddings so the couple has time that us un-rushed and dedicated for time just the two of them! This session was so fun and they even got in the water at the end of the session.
Inspired by neutral tones and natural textures, Kirsten & Kevin’s seaside forest wedding was a day full of true Alaskan luxury.
