This river engagement session at golden hour in Eagle River, Alaska was so beautiful and fun!

Regina & Paul are a fun-loving couple that love to laugh and have an amazing time together in everything they do. On a beautiful May evening we walked out to the river to take their engagement photos. The light was so golden and warm – we couldn’t have asked for better weather!

Regina had asked for some more intimate, posed images while Paul requested to also keep things lighthearted to capture their true selves. To do this I allowed the couple to use a lot of movement to feel comfortable during their session while providing some light prompts and leaned into the direction they were heading at that particular moment. We got to laughing and telling jokes, and their personalities really shine through in these images! I also always try to capture a few portraits of each person individually – you never know when you’ll need a photo of just you! Paul had a lot of fun with his at the end of the session and had us giggling quite a bit!

I really enjoyed this river engagement session and am so excited to share these photos with you all. This was such a fun evening. I love capturing love like this!
